We're too old to party on New Year's Eve. Instead we took in the walking tour of Lightscapes - the San Diego Botanic Gardens' take on holiday lights. SDBG has done it up different - enlisting light artists from Austriala, the UK and France to light up a garden setting a dozen different ways. Each section has a different theme and different music. Above you see the tropical lily pad, creatively lit with lanterns. Below are other lightscapes for your viewing pleasure. You can loop the loop as much as you want during show hours, stopping for hot cocoa and other treats along the way if you so desire. And check out the cork trees (yes, cork does grow on trees), the bottle trees and the Southern Asia Roxburg fig while you enjoy the lights. A nice way to ring in 2024.
