| Arcadian bookstore near Jackson Square |
Enter if you dare
Today we wandered around the French quarter, taste testing pralines, looking at hot sauces and alligator jerky. The usual New Orleans fare. But we also discovered a used book store near Jackson Square. This was the good kind of used bookstore; the kind where all the books are piled so high you fear for your safety. The Arcadian bookstore seemed to lack a cat, but did contain numerous books in French and a large box of Faulkner's books. The aisles were so narrow I suspect the bookstore owner has a deal with the fire department, to shall we say, look the other way.
